    Let's talk Colorado.

This game is huge. Can't overlook this game, and it also being in Boulder. We NEED this one. Looks like they just lost to Kansas 52-45.

Kansas runs off 35 straight in fourth to stun Colorado
    Associated Press
LAWRENCE, Kan. -- It was the greatest comeback in Kansas history.

James Sims scored four touchdowns, including the game-winner of 28 yards with 52 seconds left Saturday, as Kansas scored 35 unanswered points in the final 11:05 to defeat Colorado 52-45.

The 35 points were also the most Kansas has scored in a quarter in school history.

Colorado led 45-17 after Rodney Stewart scored his third touchdown on an 8-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter.

All four of Sims' touchdowns came in the final 19 minutes as he finished with 123 yards on 20 carries. His 13-yard run with 11:05 left trimmed the Colorado lead to 45-24.

After Kansas recovered an onside kick, Johnath Wilson caught a 38-yard pass from Quinn Mecham, who completed 23 of 28 passes with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Kansas cornerback Tyler Patmon spearheaded the next two touchdowns. He returned a fumble 28 yards for a touchdown with 7:12 left to trim the lead to 45-38. Patmon then intercepted a Cody Hawkins pass with 6:29 left, which set up the tying touchdown, a Sims' 6-yard run with 4:30 left.

Kansas (3-6, 1-4 Big 12) snapped an 11-game conference losing streak, while Colorado (3-6, 0-5) lost its fifth straight.

The Buffaloes drove to the Kansas 7 in the final seconds, but two Hawkins passes into the end zone were incomplete.

It looked like Colorado would win easily. The Buffaloes jumped out to a 35-10 halftime lead with Hawkins completing 20 of 24 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns and Stewart rushing for 117 yards.

Hawkins threw touchdown passes of 62 and 4 yards to Paul Richardson, and added another of 12 yards to freshman tight end DaVaug Thornton -- his first career reception -- with 3 seconds left in the half. The 62-yard drive was aided by two Jayhawks penalties of 30 yards for pass interference and a personal foul.

Stewart, who has four 100-yard rushing games this season and 12 in his career, went over the 100-yard mark late in the second quarter and finished with 177 yards on 27 carries. On a 51-yard drive in the second quarter, Stewart accounted for 50 yards on the ground, including two carries of 16 yards. Stewart scored on a 1-yard run with 2:05 left in the quarter, putting the Buffaloes up 28-3.

The Jayhawks scored their only first-half touchdown with 49 seconds left on a 19-yard pass from Mecham to D.J. Beshears to cap an eight-play, 80-yard drive.

Can not overlook them, but they have to be absolutely deflated about the way their season has gone. Especially after the way they lost today.

Wow... if Kansas can score that many on them... just... wow...

I agree though. This is the most important game of the year, and we need it to become bowl eligible. Haven't seen that much of CU this year, but I assume they're going to play well, and play with everything. That being said, I still think Rhoads gets the boys prepared and we take a win in Bolder.

IF we dont' win this game then I don't think we go to a bowl.
IF we do win this game thenI think we have a shot at mizzou and will go 7-5 with heart breakers to K-State and Nebby.

I think Kansas did us a huge favor with the way they won today. With how their season has gone plus a loss like that, how can CU not just completely give up?

I have faith in the team and the coaches that we'll be able to win in Boulder.

Because they won't give up and it is a road game. They will play their ***** off.

Yep, I wouldn't be surprised if Hawkins is fired tomorrow after that collapse. Colorado's season basically ended with 35 unanswered points to freaking Kansas today. I think we win by at least 10-14 next week.

    Re: Let's talk Colorado.

We need to go to CU and not only beat them, but beat them in crushing style. I am not sure we get a bowl at 6-6 without a blowout victory somewhere. If we don't beat CU soundly then we end up in a bowl like the Stihl Weed Eater Bowl. I for one do not want to go to Boise in December.

At this point, with the loss from today, we need to go to Colorado and make them wish they had never taken up the game of football.

Yes, for the love of god yes. I seriously hope we walk into Colorado and lay the smackdown. I think CPR will get the boys ready to play. I know they're hurting after the loss, but there are much greater things to look forward to...

Rumors from earlier in the week say that Hawkins has already been notified about his canning. Today was huge for their confidence.

I am heading to Boulder in a few days. I am ready to storm their field after we get bowl eligible. If we lose, I will streak.

    Re: Let's talk Colorado.

I can't believe that CU will be very inspired for the ISU game. This KS loss is just what I was hoping for, only better. How the heck can anyone blow a game that badly? I mean even by Cyclone standard that is bad.
