Nebraska is 85-17-2 against ISU. We are "little brother".

Sounds like Mr. Shatel is still alittle sour about last years game. On a side note, if your using your cell phonelike myself, be fair warned that Mr. Shatel's face takes up your whole screen when you hit the link to the OWH. Man lay off the cheeseburger's.

Keep in mind that tom is the guy who wrote that solich should keep his job the day after his last game he coached. Later that day pederson fired frank. Shatels take on it in his column the next day? Greatest decision ever.

I actually liked that article. He throws some complements towards ISU and yes, does refer to us as little brother but in football, when compared to NU, is that really not true? Considering it was written by a Huskers guy, it wasn't terrible.

Yep, this thread has just been pwned.

Also ISU fans never cheered for ISU basketball and switched to the Hawkeyes for football during ISU football's darkest days. That's what a good portion of Nebraska fans do every winter when they ditch the Huskers for the better local basketball team, again completely pathetic. What a bunch of front runner pansies they are.

I highly doubt you'll see any Iowa newspapers write a farewell story ripping their $hi++y basketball history, but that's because Iowan's are more grounded in a world of reality where Husker football is not worshipped at an alter like a pagan god.

There's no question who I will be cheering for when they start up the series with Iowa. I lived near Lincoln for five years, they are absolutely the worst. Iowa fans will realize how classy and rational ISU fans are in comparison very quickly and the whole thing may actually cool down the bad blood between ISU and Iowa by comparison, especially in western Iowa.

Yah . . you're right . . all those other non football sports just don't mean squat right? ISU has always been little brother in basketball, wrestling, and all the other non revenue sports. We are little brother all right.

Is it any wonder, Iowa and Nebraska fans slap whimpy fans from pillar to post . . and then make you guzzle their sports hack's kool-aide?

But hey, you are right . ."We are little brother" and deserve every back handed compliment they can pass our way. With enough of that thinking, we can join the MAC at any time.

Re: OWH . . the closing cheap shot

The OP is referring to the term "little brother". It applies in the case of Iowa, our brother institution. Not Nebraska. We are no relation to that joke of a "university".

Re: OWH . . the closing cheap shot

Content wasn't bad, but the feel of arrogance in the article makes it seem worse.
It has been relatively quiet in the Omaha media market this week. I am surprised we didn't see this article published earlier.

Many around Omaha have been relatively timid knowing that a) we won in Lincoln last year, b) Martinez likely will not be 100%, and c) ISU>TX>Neb so far this year.

    Let's go state!
