    Elgin Cooks ESPN ranking drops

Not that these rankings mean much but his ranking dropped from a 96-95 to a 91-90. That's a hell of a drop. Hopefully his ranking doesn't continue to drop.

Re: Elgin Cooks ESPN ranking drops

Sledge has offers from 5 Big East schools and from coaches like Huggins and Floyd. The only player that does not have other BCS offers is Cook. Two different coaching staffs have watched him up close, and it is said he would be the best athlete on this year's team.
It is ridiculous to think that these players are "mid-major". Even then, ISU has done quite well in the past with less herald recruits.

Re: Elgin Cooks ESPN ranking drops

i wouldnt put much into the rankings i like both players a lot and think they fit our team all the same whether ranked a 91 or 88

"Freddie knows the game," Bird said. "I'm sure he picked up a lot of stuff over the years from different people. College is different from the NBA, but I'm sure he'll do a great job."

Does this mean Iowa has a better recruiting class than us now?

Re: Elgin Cooks ESPN ranking drops

I would guess the change has to do with Dave Telep joining espn.
