    Pollard (Re: Chizik)

The new evidence that came to light today about the dirty recruiting of Cam Newton has led me to believe that Pollard really knew what he was doing when he pushed Gene out the door. We know that a man of Pollard's integrity would not run our program to be run like some of the dirtier programs out there (SEC, Iowa, USC, etc.) and got rid of him before this kind of crap came here. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but man do I like our AD. He is a genius.

    Re: Pollard (Re: Chizek)

Glad you're a Pollard fan, but Chizik was far from "pushed out the door".

You mean how Pollard had already drafted the 2 year extension after the 5-19 debacle?

Auburn hired Gene away from Iowa State. He wasn't pushed out the door, Pollard had just given him an extension.

Wait, when did Pollard push Chizik out the door, exactly? He left us, not the other way around.

I'm saying that Pollard may have found some evidence of some wrongdoings and then pushed him out.

    Re: Pollard (Re: Chizek)

That's a massive degree of spin to say that JP pushed Chizik out the door. That would require JP to have sought his departure, and for Chizik to be willing to stay. Neither of those happened.

I still don't fault Chizik for taking the money and the job. Almost anybody would do that. I just find this story so full of incredible that it's impossible not to chuckle and laugh out loud at it.

I hope you stretched before making that reach. I don't want you to hurt yourself. We're all like family here.

Like I said in the other thread, I hope this **** did not go on in Ames. We will surely find out, the NCAA will dig back to the time he took over in Ames to find out what kind recruiting he really has been doing.
