With a little more help from our friends at 1460 KXNO, we might just sell out Jack Trice after all.

At this pace we are climbing 100-200 a week, and with kickoff 7 weeks from yesterday, that will only give you 34,500-35,000. But that said, still a kick ***** number of season tickets sold.

I'm not concerned about the numbers at all. There is no way JP would make this type of decision w/o some type of backup in his pocket-corporate donor, wealthy alumni, etc. JT will be overflowing come 9/15-with cardinal and gold!!!!!!

I think they'll top 36k and possibly get close to 37. There's still the 800 extra student tickets to sell. Plus, I'd think that the pace will pick up a little in August as FB season gets closer. Oh, and there will be the people (some hawk fans too) that finally realize that Pollard won't back down and buy their tickets late.

    Re: 33,714

I talked this over with Jamie Pollard, and his response was basically that we have never had a sellout, he mentioned that UNI was our record, and he also stated that he will sell tickets until noone else wants to squeeze into the grass corners. On season tickets, he said it is hard to determine... he said with coprorate sponsors, tents, recruits, staff, coaches, visitors that we have around 38,000 STADIUM seats, that is excluding hillside, he estimates hillsides to be around 10,000. The problem with determining a sellout for us is the fact that Hillside season ticket sales are included in the total, so we could have 5,000 hillside season ticket holders and 30,000 in stadium holders, they havent sorted through all of that yet, so he said he is just going to keep selling until its packed as full as it can possibly be. He re assured me that there would not be an empty seat come the Iowa game. gotta love the guy

    Re: 33,714

So basically in a nutshell, if we want 55,000 people in JTS we need to sell 48,000 season tickets, 38,000 in stadium and 10,000 Hillside

Also from a business prospective, Thank you Marty for thinking and announcing that there would be single tickets for sale, because fact is, there will not. and this will cause a boom in sales right before the game

    Re: 33,714

I guess i never knew that Jamie Pollard guaranteed that there would not be an empty seat in JTS. I always thought that he was willing to accept it if there was not...just to prove a point, but apparently he did say this?

    Re: 33,714

According to the Rag we have 33,714 plus 2000 for tents, 4000 for the visiting team and 800 additional student tickets. If my math is correct that is 40,514. We could very well see 42-43 thousand in the seats.

Actually per the Register we already almost have 41,000+ tickets sold.

    33,714 season tickets sold
    2,000 for tents
    4,000 for the visiting team
    620 for both bands members
    350 for ISU recruits
    780 for each team's families

    Total = 41,464

That is not even including the possible selling of the addition 800 student season tickets. I did not include those because as much as we all feel that they will sell out it is not gauranteed to be sold out.

    Re: 33,714

There is one other wild card that everyone is forgetting. The Peach Bowl team is going to be honored at the ISU-Iowa game. How many players and family would that be? How many players were on that team? Were there any scholarship limits at that time? How much family from each player would also attend?
