The trade system has a long way to go. It can take days worth of time to get any supplies you might need. The couple of times i ran out of fuel it would take dozens of tries to find someone who wanted to give fuel, usually needed to go scavenge for food to trade for the fuel), and during all these tries to find someone to trade with, you had to keep getting more food since that was still being eaten.
Also, i was within 200 miles of oregon and i stopped to rest, and all of a sudden my whole team died except for me. Not cool. Everyone had made it to that point.
I question the distances - I can only assume that the landmark after Dallas is Amarillo (identified as "Strip Club" by the game, and if you have lived there, you know this is the truth), but there is no way that it is 600 miles to Amarillo from DFW - more like 300.
And if everyone is chillin' in the station wagon, how can you get bitten by a zombie? I did "enjoy" getting dysentery, that was a nice touch!
