Re: 4-Year-Old Can Be Sued, Judge Rules in Bike Case

And people wonder why America's on the decline.

Fall down on an icy sidewalk? I'm gonna sue.
I got fat after eating your food. I'm gonna sue.
Your kid ran into me with her bike? I'm gonna sue.

    Dumb.

Exactly why I don't want to go to the Pinstripe bowl.

In other news, turns out that a judge in New York needs to be disbarred for negligence.

If I would was the defense attorney, my case would be based on my argument, "The old ***** was probably going to die in 3 months, regardless."

Re: 4-Year-Old Can Be Sued, Judge Rules in Bike Case

they struck an 87-year-old woman named Claire Menagh, who was walking in front of the building and, according to the complaint, was “seriously and severely injured,” suffering a hip fracture that required surgery. She died three months later.
This is ****-poor journalism at its worst. They writer makes it seem as though her death was caused by the injury that required the hip surgery. The lady was 87-years old! Unless it was medically proven that the hip injury/surgery did lead to her death. Then the writer needs to state that medical records show that her injury and surgery led to her death.

You make it sound like these things only happen in America (they don't). Take yesterday in Brazil for instance:

"Talk about an occupational hazard. A former manager of a McDonald's franchise in Porto Allegre, Brazil, was awarded $17,500 as recompense for gaining 65 lbs. over 12 years on the job, the AP reports."

People are always quick to bash America, damn Pinkos.

    Hmmm...the article now says:

At some point in the race, they struck an 87-year-old woman named Claire Menagh, who was walking in front of the building and, according to the complaint, was “seriously and severely injured,” suffering a hip fracture that required surgery. She died three months later of unrelated causes.
