TV and Online Coverage of Cyclone Men's Basketball

AMES, Iowa Ė A total of 19 Iowa State menís basketball games will be shown on ESPN Full Court for the upcoming 2010-11 season. ESPN Full Court is a package fans can purchase through their satellite or cable company to watch college basketball games on their television.

Iowa State Menís Basketball ESPN Full Court Schedule:
Nov. 14, Alabama State; Nov. 17, Drake; Nov. 27, Montana State; Dec. 6, Southeast Missouri State; Dec. 12, Texas Southern; Dec. 21, Chicago State; Jan. 3, Northern Illinois; Jan. 8, at Nebraska; Jan. 15, Baylor; Jan. 26, Texas Tech; Jan. 29, Oklahoma; Feb. 5, Kansas State; Feb. 12, at Kansas; Feb. 16, at Texas A&M; Feb. 19, Missouri; Feb. 22, at Texas; Feb. 26, Nebraska; March 2, Colorado; and
    March 5, at Kansas State

In addition to ESPN Full Court, all of the games listed above will be shown live on ESPN3 (formerly ESPN360). ESPN3 is a website fans can access college basketball games live-streamed through their computer. The Jan. 12 Iowa State-Kansas game will also be shown on ESPN3, increasing the total of Cyclone games available for viewing on the website this season to 20. Check with your local internet provider for ESPN3 availability.

The Cyclone Television Network (CTN) is scheduled to broadcast six games this season: Jan. 3, Northern Illinois; Jan. 8, at Nebraska; Jan. 15, Baylor; Jan. 26, Texas Tech; Jan. 29, Oklahoma and March 2, Colorado. This year's CTN affiliates include the following outlets: WOI (Des Moines, Ames), KCRG (Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Dubuque, Iowa City), WHBF (Quad Cities), KCAU (Sioux City) and Mediacom (Mason City, Ottumwa, Keokuk).

Seven Iowa State men's hoops games will be aired by the Big 12 Conference's regional package, the Big 12 Network (Feb. 5, Kansas State; Feb. 12, at Kansas; Feb. 16, at Texas A&M; Feb. 19, Missouri; Feb. 22, at Texas; Feb. 26, Nebraska and March 5, at Kansas State). Local affiliates for Big 12 Network games will be announced at a later date.

Under Big 12 contract bylaws, any game picked up by ESPN Full Court or a game produced by a first- or second-tier network (ESPN, FSN, Big 12) CANNOT be live-streamed on a schoolís athletics website.

Like in years past, Iowa State will continue to offer fans a chance to watch any remaining menís basketball games as a part of its Clone Zone package on cyclones.com. The available games include: Nov. 5, Dubuque; Nov. 12, Northern Arizona; Nov. 24, Kennesaw State; Dec. 19, Dartmouth.

However, due to the summer flooding damage in Hilton Coliseum received in August, the capability of providing this internet webcast service is still in question. Some of the videoboard equipment and internet connection (which is the source of this content) has not been delivered or installed. Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience as we transition back into Hilton Coliseum. Check back at cyclones.com for further updates on the situation.

I live 128 miles away. Cable provides channel 5. I can watch 6 games. woo hoo I will listen like I did back in the 80s on the radio. This sucks. ( I will sneak up to a 3-4 games though.)

oh yes, the radio. Did that for many years, still do sometimes. As much as I like JW, still miss ol Pete though. If you have internet, I'm sure justin.tv and channelsurfing.net will be providing stream.

That should be part of the Hardwood Series, so that SHOULD be televised by the supporting network (I can not remember off the top of me head whether that is ESPN or FSN). I'll edit if I find it.

EDIT - FSN, according to cyclones.com

Are you sure your internet provider doesn't allow ESPN3? Mine didn't until last season then they started supporting it.

If you can get ESPN3 and CloneZone you can watch 20-25 games without even having a TV.

Might be worth checking out if there are any other internet service providers in your area that provide it, it's free if your provider is on board.

Channel 5 will more than likely carry the 7 Big 12 regional games as well.

    espn3 is solid

"Freddie knows the game," Bird said. "I'm sure he picked up a lot of stuff over the years from different people. College is different from the NBA, but I'm sure he'll do a great job."
