    Video of Coach Hoiberg

This is video I took on my phone so it's not the best quality but Fred talks about why we need to get Hilton Magic back and a little about the Texas FB win.

Also, during this "banquet" all the players stood up and talked a little about who they were and why they came to ISU. Most said they came to ISU to play for Coach Hoiberg but a lot of them also mentioned Coach Otzelberger. Sounds like we were really lucky to keep him.

I have video of some of the players if anyone's interested.

That was awesome hearing him talk about the Okie State game when he was a freshman. I was at that game it will always be one of my favorite Hilton Col. memories.

Will never forget that OSU game. It was unreal. For the 14,400 folks that were there it was something we will never forget.

I've heard people say otherwise, but I will never believe that OSU game wasn't the loudest in the history of Hilton Coliseum. The floor was shaking.

I've actually never heard anybody that was actually at that game say otherwise. I was there but have missed some subsequent loud games but it was freakishly loud. You could yell at your neighbor and he wouldn't hear it. A 90%+ free throw shooter was rendered helpless.

edit: Is there no video anywhere for this? Old news footage?

I remember that OKie State game. It was incredible when those 2 free throws were missed by the best FT shooter in the league. And that happened right after our freshman just hit the biggest free throw of his life (up till then). That was an awesome game. Yes, the magic is coming back !!!!!

I was also at the 2000 ISU vs KU game when Jake Sullivan was a freshman. I think it was first half when ISU went on a run and Jake hits a three, then a stop at the other and Jake pulls up from way outside the line and drains another three in transition. I recall that moment being near the top of loudness for games I attended at Hilton.

The Wayne Morgan team that beat texas at the end when UT had a good freethrow shooter miss a couple had to be loud too. I wasn't there for that one but I've heard some describe the backboard shaking on that one.

We always really enjoy that event, and had a great time in State Center. I know our player Jordan said he might not have come if TJ hadn't stayed.
