    Rivals Bowl Projections 10/27

Dallas Football Classic vs. Northwestern, I would prefer Penn St or Illinois but I like play other Big 10 schools!

I want nothing to do with Northwestern.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

That is pathetic if you are afraid of Northwestern. That said, I think Northwestern will be in a better bowl game. I think they finish ahead of both Illinois and Penn St. I'm not sold Penn St will even be bowl eligible.

Agree. Pat Fitzgerald scares me when he has multiple weeks to prepare for a team.

I don't think that's pathetic at all. They gave a very good Michigan State team a good run, and actually should have won. They are a pretty decent team this year despite how crumby they've been in the past.

I'm not saying they aren't a good team, they are (thats why I think they will be in a better bowl game.) I just don't see why anyone would be afraid of a (theoretically) 6-6 Big 10 team.

I would too, would definitely have to at least win 3 or the last 4 to even have a shot

NW typically spreads the ball all over the field with solid QB play like they did against Michigan State most of the game. That might take a toll on our somewhat undermanned defense. I would rather go against Penn State who has had issues at QB all season and could possible be one dimensional.

It's all about matchups and we'd get worked by their offense.

I agree. Penn State would seem to be the best matchup for us, as far as the possibility of winning goes. Northwestern's offense could attack us where we're weak in the passing game, and Illinois is a strong rushing team, which we haven't fared well against, along with a pretty solid defense.

I think we'd beat Penn State more than half the time, near split with Northwestern, and win less than half the time against Illinois.

I agree that Penn St is a better matchup for us. I'm just not scared of playing Northwestern like it seems everyone else is. We did ok when TT threw the ball 62 times and Texas threw it 57 times. Meanwhile Iowa threw it 18 times, Utah 31, and Oklahoma 34. You can easily agrue we can handle a one-dimensional passing attack, but not when they also have a strong run game.

EDIT: Also keep in mind before Northwesten nearly beat Michigan St they lost at home to Purdue, just saying.
