Shouldn't we be thanking Chizik for leaving ISU?

Correct me if I am wrong, but when Chizik left ISU and went to Auburn while choosing not to retain CPR. This choice allowed CPR to come to Iowa State and give us what we have now.

I know alot of ISU fans have more hatred for Chizik because of how he left, but I am one that would say thanks to him for leaving and allowing a coach he choose not to retain to come to ISU to finish the job that he could not do.

Really another thread on Chizik? Get over it people.

We're all thankful that he left, but that doesn't mean we can't hate him for being so crappy when he was here?

Agree, everyone is happier now with the outcomes. We'd rather have Rhoads, and Gene would rather not be here. Plus he did bring in some good players and leave us in an OK position to achieve what we have the last two years.
