    2011 Mens Basketball Team

I am in no way writing off the 2010 season, but this team has the potential to be good...REALLY REALLY REALLY good. All you that say "We dont know if Fred can coach yet" are idiots. Fred will be fine, he has Lutz right next to him and hes an outstanding coach. In all hoensty, this team could compete for a Big 12 championship next year bearing any injuries or anyone getting kicked off the team. I have just been thinking how damn good this team could be if they stick together. It sends chills up my spine.

How many threads do we have to start about the same thing?

Agreed X 1000. Can't we at least see what we put on the floor this year before we go there?

No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference. ~Tommy Lasorda

As long as the 2011 team doesn't transfer to UNC, we should be OK.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

Whoa, slow Down! This year's MBB team has the potential to be really decent, but not in any way good enough to challenge for the Big 12 first division, at least not yet. The MBB team will get its share of wins primarily from the cupcake non-conference portion of the schedule. I'll reiterate my projection -- 14 to 18 wins overall, 11 to 13 wins in the non-conference, 3 to 5 wins in conference. The team will probably lose to Creighton and UNI. At Iowa and Drake at home will be very tough games for our team along with Cal and at UVa -- best case scenario is they win all four games, but more than likely they'll win two or three. To expect more than five conference wins is being too optimistic IMO. The conference schedule will be tough, but I expect the team to be competitive in all but a few games on the road -- at Mizzou, at KU, at KSU and at TX will probably be blowouts. Okie, Nebbie and CO at home are likely wins. Then maybe at Nebbie and TAMU at home in the best case scenario as well. Enjoy the non-conference schedule, because the conference games are going to be much tougher to win.

This year is 2010... the original poster was talking about 2011, which is the following year. He was referring to the fact that Babb, Allen, etc. will all be eligible, thus inferring that isu will be very very good.
