Is the KU a trap game?

After a landmark win and our hatred for kNU do WE now have a trap game?

Is having a snowball fight with pitching great, Randy Johnson, a bad idea?

Re: Is the KU a trap game?

I said this in a previous thread but I will say it again, I think our coaches are too good to allow the team to have a hangover game. Plus the coaches, players and fans know that if we want to go to a bowl this year, then a win over KU is a must. They will be ready!!

Without a doubt it is. I remember when LE used to say that the toughest games were the ones that followed a big upset.

I'm concerned about this too, but if we can pack the jack, for the homecoming game, and cheer on our Cyclones, hopefully the huge crowd can keep them on task.

When is the last time we beat Kansas? Has anyone on our roster ever done it? There's plenty of motivation out there for this one.

So did Coach Mack. Threads about winning out are provinbg my point and have me worried.

Re: Is the KU a trap game?

Definitely a trap. Going to have to play lights out on both sides of the ball, plus special teams, to send these guys back to Lawrence with a loss.

Hopefully this staff can squeeze a maximum performance out of them again.

Re: Is the KU a trap game?

It is very much a trap. We learned last week that our team can come out fired up and ready even after two blowouts. Now we get to find out how Rhoads and the team respond to being the favorite after a hugely emotional win, especially with Nebraska waiting in the wings a week later.

This is one more step in finding out if Rhoads is the real deal. I think that on Saturday he'll prove that our trust in him is well deserved.

Re: Is the KU a trap game?

Agreed that the coaching staffs are too good to let the players slack off. It's up to the players also to ensure they keep focused if they want to go to the bowl.

    This game is winnable
Also, CU QB is out until end of season, so Cody Hawkins (who's not as good as Hansen) will deputize

Yes. KU has the players to beat us and we need to practice for a battle. There are never guarantee wins for showing up, especially for ISU.

I love our coaches ... but we've already had multiple hangover games:

    K-State after Iowa
    Utah after Tech
    OU after Utah

That said, I don't think it will happen this Saturday.
