Bringing a Couple Friends Up for Homecoming...

Neither attended Iowa State. One made it up to VEISHEA once while I was in school. I want to make sure and show them a good time.

What is everyone's vote for the bars, etc. to make sure and hit up? I had my couple favorites, but I want to hear what people think would be the best for a couple newcomers.

Welch Ave Station. Good drinks, plenty of TV's, laid back crowd and Pizza Pit food.

Es Tas and Cy's for sure.... maybe paddy's or sips. sometimes its hit or miss with them. Element is under new ownership I believe, so it's actually not to bad of a hangout now, if your coming friday might as well make the rounds for FAC.

I'd say Welch Ave to start out, but I would say Paddys and Es Tas are the bars to go to.

Es Tas for the tacos FOR SURE! I'd also go with Paddy's or Headliners for the crowd/atmosphere. I've never been a big Element guy, but people go there if they want to dance. I also steer clear of Welch Ave except to watch games. It isn't much for a night life kind of bar, more of a sports and food establishment.

Yep, this thread has just been pwned.

Go to FAC, then head over to WAS at 7-8ish, eat some 'za and wings, walk a couple blocks to Thumbs for a couple, then head back to campustown to Es Tas, then grab a late night gyro.

I can't believe you just mentioned Thumbs! I had an apartment that I could literally see across the street to Thumbs...

I have no retort. This response was flawless.

Wait... Flying Burrito instead of gyro.

In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.
