Pollard tells Iowa House Speaker - "Buy season tix"

Sounds like no one is buying up those $90 tickets over in Iowa City.

    Pollard to Democrats...

Sure we have tickets to the ISU-UI game. How many season tickets would you like? I love it.

Typical politician, he thinks he is more privileged than everyone else.

Every day I have more and more respect for what JP is doing. "They're treating everybody the same at Iowa State," Murphy said. "We were treated just like anyone on the street trying to buy tickets for the game." No way! You dare to treat an official elected into office by "anyone on the street" like "anyone on the street"? Good for you JP! Stick it to 'em!

Not true. This is from a previous article.

‘‘We will use all 4,000, but the demand by our fans is significantly down from two years ago,’’ Klatt said. ‘‘Two years ago when we played there, we took requests for about 9,000 tickets. I think the last time (David Sandstrum, Iowa’s assistant athletics director for ticket operations) and I talked, we were just kind of touching below 3,000.’’ Klatt said about 1,000 tickets for the annual clash are used by athletics personnel and studentathletes.

Iowa AD department wants it to sound good to their fanbase that they are trying to prove a point by advertising that the interest has gone down but "oh by the way.....all of our ticket allotment will be sold."

    Pointlesss....

Re: Pollard tells Iowa House Speaker - "Buy season tix"

you know what would really be in the best interest of everybody would be for the Republicans to do the exact opposite of the Dems, as per everything in politics and buy 175 season tickets.

They look good, they do the opposite of the other party, ISU sells 175 more season passes. They could donate the other games to youth groups (or destitute college students ) or something.

Anybody know Murphy's counterpart? this is really in the best interest of all involved.

No interest but tickets are going for $200 a piece on the internet. That's strange.

    From the article:

"They're treating everybody the same at Iowa State," Murphy said. "We were treated just like anyone on the street trying to buy tickets for the game."

Ohhh the humanity! A nobody state politician who no one has ever heard of is trying to pull special status. Get a life man! You are no better than anyone else, why should you be treated any different. You are a STATE senator, that is just one step up from garbage man in my mind. Of course garbage men MAY have integrity.

Re: Pollard tells Iowa House Speaker - "Buy season tix"

How typical, House Speaker Pat Murphy won't use his own money to buy a ticket, just wants a freebie using "purchased out of a joint House and Senate account used for fundraisers". If he can't spend taxpayers money on himself, he used donated dollars. Must be a closet Husker or Badger.

People who own the garbage franchise tend to be rich as rich can be. They were usually garbage men at one time too.
