AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State tight end Collin Franklin is one of 22 tight ends on the Mackey Award mid-season watch list. The Mackey Award is given annually to the nation's top collegiate tight end. Franklin is off to a strong start with a team-high 31 receptions for 313 yards this season. The senior from Simi Valley, Calif. made a great catch of an Austen Arnaud pass in the corner of the end zone on a fade route for his first TD catch of the season in Iowa State's 52-38 win over Texas Tech. His six receptions vs. Tech equaled his career high. He had six catches at Oklahoma last weekend and six against Kansas State earlier this season. In his career, Franklin has 64 catches for 763 yards and four touchdowns.
