    I am sold on Texas

That NU Beatdown did it for me.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

After some of our fanbase not being sold on the last two teams, I hope everyone is sold on Texas.

Re: I am sold on Texas

They're streaky. Kind of like a less extreme version of us. I'm not saying we're going to win this game, but I didn't think Texas looked that great. Their pass defense was terrible. Their running game has picked up though, which worries me. I don't think they played all too great yesterday, it's more that Nebraska played terribly. Nebraska's receivers decided to play with brick hands though. The one thing I will say is that they did a great job just absolutely shutting down Martinez. We're definitely going to have to pass the ball if we're going to have any shot at beating UT.

ISU wont win this game, but I will be surprised if it anywhere close to as ugly as the last 2. Not shocked, just surprised...

TX comes into our game with a lot of confidence/momentum while we are the complete exact opposite.

I do not expect good things.

Anyone who watched the 2nd half of Texas/OU should be sold on Texas.

Re: I am sold on Texas

Everything was pointing to Texas pulling this thing off to the point that I seriously thought about dropping some cash on the Longhorns....wished I'd gone with my intuition now.

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Re: I am sold on Texas

Well, Texas is Texas. I have taken this game very seriously since the beginning of the season, even after they dropped a few games. Their 4th stringers could most likely start at Iowa State. Call me pessimistic, but that's just the way it is. Also, Mack Brown is a good coach and will find ways to win over teams that they should beat.

Re: I am sold on Texas

NU was the most overrated team in the country. They are not that great. Do we have what it takes to beat them? Maybe...

I thought before the season started that ISU matched up with Texas better than OU. I do not think that Texas has a great o-line, they will look good against ISU's d-line but will that be enough? Can Arnaud look like a BCS QB like he did against Tech or will he look like a 1-AA QB as he has the last 1.5 seasons? I guess we find out at 11:00 AM October 23.

Re: I am sold on Texas

Texas has a very good D Line. That will equate to the same offensive problems we had against Oklahoma. On offense, they will out quick and out strength us. Honestly, I expect a similar result to the OU game. I'll say 51-10 Texas.

Re: I am sold on Texas

Unless AA and the offense can make some plays, it will be ugly. It's obvious we have no one on the bench. If Barnett had been healthy, I'm betting he would have been our QB by now. Too bad.

Even though it'll most likely be an ugly game, i'm still excited to go down to Austin and see the game.

Looks like the Longhorns are going to solve those problems against a weak Iowa State team next week then.
