    Rejected OU Mascots

Sure OU has that "winning football tradition" and all that other junk, but Cy kicks the crap out of the weird horse/pigs that Sooners trot out as a mascot.

This is just a fun Friday read about the mascots that didn't make the cut. Lots of pictures for those that have already shut down brain function for the weekend.

I lived in Norman for 4 years and have it on good authority that Marvin the Martin was a serious contender. Norman is a lot like mars..........Lost of red dirt and not signs of intelligent life forms.

Nice one. This is pretty random but your red dirt comment reminded me of a marching band trip we took to OU back in the 90's. People used tape to put smack talk on the windows. The best one: At Least We Have Top Soil

ha, about two stories down there's a "survival guide for Oklahoma" with a poor photoshop of Norman using Mars as the backdrop. great minds think alike

is it just me, or would any of those probably be better than boomer and sooner? seriously, I think that's a big FAIL on OU's part.
