    Request for Geek Help

    Need a new home computer. Would not say I'm a power user but I will be editing some home videos on it. Other than that just normal average Joe usage.

    I've not been in the market for a pc for a while, my current home pc is ancient, so I am wondering if anyone can give me some general advice on what the current standards are. How much processing power do I need? RAM? Etc.

    Anything with over 8 gigs of ram as Windows itself needs 4 gigs to run everything smoothly.

    I build a quad core, 4gb desktop that flies for your price range. I highly recommend that.
