Ron Maly piece on Larry Eustachy

Dated information . . but very interesting (I am not a Maly fan per se) . . . sorry if most of you have seen this but for those who haven't:

Re: Ron Maly piece on Larry Eustachy

I watched his segment on the 100 years DVD a few times and I think he has a lot of regrets about what happened here-he mentions wishing he knew then what he knows now, etc.

I miss the guy. Not sure there were many good days of basketball ahead of him, despite the picture incident. But he seems to miss being a part of the Iowa State family. Maybe, just maybe he'll come back someday in some capacity... probably not though.

Re: Ron Maly piece on Larry Eustachy

I gotta say,at least on the video, he never blamed anyone else for what happened. He just seemes to have a lot of regret that it did and really seems to miss ISU. And I really liked him as a coach but I don't know if getting him treatment etc would have done anything to help him-- I was watching from NC when I got any news so I missed all the alleged personal/marital issues. I like to think he woulda been a good coach here and I would welcome him back if that oppurtunity came but I think there would still be too much backlash-although 4 years of losing records may have tempered some people.

I get ****** off every time I go to that *** clown's website so I just don't go to his site any more. Even if he did write something that was really good, it would be ruined for me because I would be wondering what agenda he had and how bad he had spun it. Anyone who works that hard to make Fennelly out to be a DB has a pretty ridiculously large agenda. I know Bill is no saint, but he's certainly not the offspring of Lucifer and Eva Braun like R. Weasley Maly makes him out to be. Hell, I loved Eustachy but Fennelly always treated those around the programs far, far better than Larry did.

I'll take my news on coaches and former coaches from more reputable sources like The Daily Mail and the National Enquirer.

Maybe I shouldn't have responded. I'm probably ruining it for others.

Actually I appreciate your perspective cause way back when I was in Iowa I used to think he was ok but he seems to have become anti-ISU since then.

I encourage every Cyclone fan that has not yet forgot about this degenerate, to do so. It is easy to do so when you realize he is ISU's *****.
