More to the 7-0 record in night games for CPR era

I've seen SO MUCH coverage this week about how Iowa State is 7-0 in night games during the Paul Rhoads era. This is a true statement, which is good.

But really, all it means is that Iowa State is beating the teams that they are supposed to beat, which is a good thing.

Their night wins have come over: North Dakota State, @ Kent State, Army, Baylor, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa and Texas Tech.

By my memory, Iowa State was favored in six of those games. The Cyclones were dogs against Texas Tech.

Ah, but how many of those games did CPR have pancakes before?

Totally not fair. Rhoads hasn't had a chance to play good schools at night

Once we beat Utah and Oklahoma in back to back weeks, we'll all know the night game trend is true. We might have to go independent and create our own TV network just so we can guarentee every game is a night game.

Lmao, might have to expand our stadium just for night games, and retract it for day games.

I have also drank beer each game night and tailgated in B3 before heading into the game prior to kickoff. Also, I have left at half time and returned seeing people 15 deep in line for food and drinks... Maybe it is my pregame and game rituals and not CPR's pancakes at all!

I love superstitions, but even better: I love night games. I agree with Chris' original post though, too much being made of this. If we win the next two weekends then I'll start believin' in it.

Paul Rhoads is also 0-3 against ranked opponents. What gives?

There is an easy, although rather unsightly, solution that the fans can do to fill up an expanded stadium - everybody just has to keep ordering double stacks of pancakes.
