Perfect demographic for that advertisement though. Where else are you going to get this high of a percentage of 25-40 year old men? I guess they could advertise at a strip club also.

I was 24 in 1998 when I got mine. Really paid off after the divorce, never knew it was a positive thing in the barfly world.

Vastectomies fly in the face of the 'breed like rabbits' tavern hawk playbook. They may be dumb, but the results of their method is undisputed...

    Well then, I stand corrected.

The good folks at the Iowa Clinic took care of me and my "boys" today. Props to them for advertising on CF as that is how I knew to call them.

Thinking of getting snipped myself. How did go? Was it awkward to have dudes shaving and moving your junk?

One thing...don't assume it's dudes. Had mine done at the Iowa Clinic. A lady who could have been my grandma took care of the prep, which consisted of the local and shave. A middle aged lady took care of the rest.

It really is the easiest 15 minutes on an operating table. Just do it when you have 2-3 days where you can simply devote to watching TV after. Not that the after is terrible, but it can get that way if you're stupid about it.

Didn't think about female nurses... What if you pop wood while the ladies are moving and positioning? I would guess it happens but that might be more awkward that having guys move it.

Best piece of advice I ever got was to shave yourself before hand. They were going to dry shave me with a disposable bic razor.

Dr Kellerman and I had a good conversation about College football and the Chicago Cubs while he performed the procedure. It wasn't awkward because he was very professional about it. I would say my pain right now is minimal and I haven't taken any medicine but am currently self medicating with Busch Light.
