    Local DirectTV companies

So, since DishNetwork dropped FX I am switching to DirectTV. I'd rather get it through a local business. Any suggestions? I live in Marshalltown but I assume a Des Moines or Ames company would come here.

Don't you have a DVD player? The last thing I knew about FX is they show movies. At least with a DVD they aren't edited.

Obviously you don't know what you're talking about and haven't contributed at all to the original question so maybe just stay out of it?

    Re: Local DirectTV companies

Tried to cancel my DishNetwork service yesterday and it would have cost me $210. Apparently when I signed up for "HD for life" I agreed to a 2 year contract. At least I didn't sign up for DirectTV before calling Dish although I was really close.

Here in Chicago we have already lost FX and FSN and on 11/1 they may pull the regular Fox 32. This would not go over well during the NFL season and World Series. I'm willing to watch Sunny and the League on hulu for a month but we are going to need some resolution soon.

I'm not sure the World Series is that big of a deal in Chicago.

See, I can make jokes about the cubs too....

Another option for Sunny: the DishNetwork person I talked to yesterday said that if you purchase the current episode from iTunes (available the next day whereas Hulu is after 30 days IIRC) they will reimburse you for the cost. I don't have iTunes and don't plan on installing it but if you do it seems like a good option. No The League though.
