    Reeves Kickoff TD

i haven't been able to find a really good video of that so it's hard to tell what happened in that mess lol. Did the ball get caught or hit someone and he picked it up and ran with it? or did it he just catch it and ran?

    Re: Reeves Kickoff TD

At first, I thought he just jumped up and caught it in the air and took off running. But, after seeing the highlight clip, it almost looks like it got bobbled around a little bit and then he grabbed it and took off.
Maybe somebody who can watch it in slow-mo give a better explanation.

I don't see how they haven't shown a replay of it.

Reeves said on CPR show that he and Lenz went up, Lenz bobbled it, and that Lenz kind of handed it to him. Sounds odd, but thats what I heard. Sweet play though. Dangerous, but sweet.

    Re: Reeves Kickoff TD

Reeves is a stud. Some players have the ability to make plays and always be around the ball. More proof that recruiting services aren't the best to really on is in the above picture with Reeves and Lentz. A couple two star players without a lot of D1 offers doing great things for the Cyclones. Great job by Wally and the rest of the staff in evaluating their players during the recruiting process.

Thought for sure Lenz had it, was absolutely shocked to see Reeves running up the sidelines with the ball.

"Sophomore defensive back Jeremy Reeves’ 42-yard return of Texas Tech’s onside kickoff was the first Iowa State kickoff return since Troy Davis went 99 yards against Colorado on Nov. 19, 1994. It was only the second by a Cyclone at Jack Trice Stadium."

    Wow that's kind of sad.

    Re: Reeves Kickoff TD

I really thought that the Clones would get a run back this year the way Sims and SJ had been returning long kicks. This is not what I expected.

On a side note it is pretty scary how close that onside kick was to being successful. Two guys on the receiving team bobbling the kick around is exactly what TT was hoping for.
