    LJ ?

I missed the last TT touchdown (or at least I did not see how the TT player got to a position where he was standing alone) what happened. Did LJ fall or just get burned? I thought maybe he got injured because it looked like he gave up on the play. Not trying to flame LJ (good game for most part, just wondering on this play).

    Re: LJ ?

It looked to me that he got toasted, but someone brought up in another thread that it looked like zone coverage, and the safety should have picked that man up.

    Re: LJ ?

It seemed to me like our guys didnt even know the play had started.

    Re: LJ ?

It seem like he was expecting a safety to be back there for the deep coverage IIRC.

    Re: LJ ?

Looked to me like he thought he had safety help over the top. Pretty sure it was a miscommunication/blown coverage.

    Re: LJ ?

I believe LJ thought/should have been a safety over the top in zone coverage. You can see LJ stop running all of a sudden to go cover the flat, and the WR had a free TD.

    Reeves > LJ

And last night was not the only supporting factor for that.

I don't know if you can say that right now?

There was definately a miscommunication on that play. LJ obviously thought he had safety help, otherwise he wouldn't have stopped and covered the flat. Whether or not the safety was supposed to be there or not... we'll probably never know?

I don't know if it does any good for the fans to try to determine who to blame? It was a busted coverage by either LJ or the safety? Who knows?

    Re: LJ ?

In CPR's press conference mentioned it was a blown coverage.

    Re: LJ ?

Looked like they took a DB off the field right before that play, I think LJ thought he had safety help deep when he obviously didn't.

I can because Reeves plays much, much better in coverage. Again, in my previous posted I clearly stated my believe Reeves > LJ is not because of one play or one game.

LJ has improved by not committing stupid PF penalties (although Banks was the much larger culprit of that) but I have not see noticeable improvements in his coverage abilities and communication with the safeties.

Reeves just seems to almost always be in the right spot.

I completely disagree and I think the staff does too. Reeves rotates in but LJ is usually always out there. TT threw up fades to every corner. LJ was the only one not to get beat. He uses his body to stay with the defender better than our other guys and has better size.

I think LJ has had a great season minus the Iowa game. And I don't think anyone played good against Iowa

Reeves > LJ probably is the case, but it also doesn't mean that LJ is completely worthless, either (I know you're not saying that, that's what everyone else is interpreting). LJ is still a very good CB, much better than his freshman year. And I do buy that LJ released that receiver to be covered by a safety, and the safety just never picked him up.

Agree and the iowa game and KSU games would tend to back that up.

LJ did not have a strong game in Kansas City.
