    Re: Hey City...

I was happy to see Money get a few looks tonight at big plays. Glad we've got him for next year, too.

Made us look like the old Texas Tech

Indeed. I was sitting in the end zone and watched that play unfold right in front of me. Reynolds did a great job of cutting in front of the coverage, staying in stride, and making an ironclad grab of the ball. Arnaud put the ball in an okay spot (seemed like he didn't lead him quite as much as would have been ideal), but Reynolds made a great grab to finish the play.

It was the best pass play I've seen us run in years! It made us look like the Texas Tech of old!

    Re: Hey City...

Was it a good play? It was a good play. Was it also just one play? You bet.

This topic exemplifies the state of our passing game, when we are crowning a player after he does one thing well.

Darius Reynolds rode a giant hype train on this board all preseason, and he makes his first impact play in week 5. Sorry, but the evidence is strongly in favor of him not being the answer. Let me tell you a story about a blind squirrel...

I am hoping he proves me wrong, but right now this is status quo Iowa State. We overemphasize success on the field, as well as failure on it. Brun's article two weeks ago was perfect. You are never as bad , or as good, as you look on a given night. The truth is typically somewhere in between. Don't get your hopes up just to be let down cyclones. We need sustained success before I hand a game ball to a wideout.

Dude - this thread was created to celebrate the young mans success, I hope you are wrong too - in fact I bet you are wrong at a lot of things in your life including choosing the wrong thread to bag on a player that just had arguably his best game as a Cyclone.
