KSU gets one of the best JUCO qbs in the country

Cats snare juco quarterback | CJOnline.com

How the hell does Father Time do it? ISU really needs to go in this direction next season to let Barnett get up to speed in the offense.

Snyder resembles Mr Burns. Every time I see him I think of the epsiode where Mr Burns bring Peace and Love.

He looks good but hardly a program changer. We have gotten 3 star JUCO kids plenty of times that don't end up panning out

Uh, Clones85', ever hear of Daniel Thomas? Snyder built his program when he got them to the elite tier upon his ability to identify quality juco transfers who immediately were players at that level. Excluding Seneca Wallace and David Sims, we have never enjoyed that kind of consistent success with the juco's we bring in. I have no idea how Snyder has been able to achieve what he did and now is doing again. I hope everything he does is above NCAA scrutiny.....but it makes you wonder. Snyder is revered by K-State fans on the same level as Hawk fans rever Hayden Fry. And justifiably so.

Yeah, I really dont understand how these young kids want to go play for a crusty old man. (Sorry Bill)
I mean, talk about not being able to relate to your coach whatsoever.
Its especially weird when I see it in basketball. (Im looking at you Boeheim!)

Snyder seems to get the juco players that earn the nickname "Money" on the field. Kudos to him

Seneca Wallace was the exception rather than the rule. Quarterback is the one position where I do not like to go the JUCO route unless it is an absolute emergency. A Quarterback really needs a year in the offense prior to taking off. Ideally, a quarterback should come in as a freshman and redshirt that first year; then get some playing time but be a back-up as a redshirt freshman; and then start for three years. Just my opinion. Go Cyclones!!!

Kid had 1 offer KSU, which may be do to qualifying issues, much easier to get into KSU than most schools.. Maybe they think he is another Michael Bishop

Seriously???? Look at the guy's stats. K-State can have him. If he's one of the best JUCO quarterbacks in the country then it is a **** poor year for JUCO quarterbacks.

By "getting up to speed" you mean sitting on the bench for 2 more years?
If Barnett is the guy he should play, if he's not we need to find the guy that is.

I would take the 7.8 yds per attempt any day. It's a much better measure of success than completion %. By comparison, Iowa State's YTD yds per att is 5.1.

Below 6 favors the defense, between 6 and 7 is a gray area, above 7 usually leads to a productive offense.
