    Need Water Heater Help

Came home and my water heater is just pouring out water. There are two pictures attached. My dad thought I could flip the lever on the top and it would stop, but that actually made the water come out faster. The water and the pipe are really hot.

    Any suggestions?

    Jiggle that valve.

Similar thing happened to me. Crust has it stuck open.

Sounds like your relief valve is stuck open or not working properly....

    Re: Need Water Heater Help

Is it coming out of relief pipe on the side, or out the bottom of the water heater itself....?

That is a part you can easily replace and sold at DIY stores.

That worked. Earlier I was just flipping it and making it worse. It's only dripping now instead of pouring out. Would be nice if the maintenance people returned my call.
