    Saturday's Weather

According to Weather.com, the high in Ames is only 63 and the low is 32 Anyone else think this will affect TTU? I know it will not be 32 by kickoff but low 50's early and likely dropping to the low 40's by the end of the game. I remember Baylor last season and I dont recall it being this cold, but windy, and they could not keep away from the heaters on the sideline.

    Re: Saturday's Weather

It was cold, wet and snowing when Tech came in here in '06. Didn't hurt 'em. It was cold and wet when Texas came in '07. Didn't hurt them either.

    This is overrated, IMO.

Agree. If we had a power running team I would say the weather would favor us. Since we run a similar offense to TT I doubt it makes any difference

    Re: Saturday's Weather

I don't think this will hurt TTU, but it definently helps with how I will pack for my trip to Ames this weekend.

I am just happy I don't have to wear four layers of clothes to keep warm this weekend along with a raincoat. Guess I will only need the four layers of clothes this weekend for the game.

I agree Al, but if it doesn't affect the South teams, why can't they come North in November?

Let it snow. We have no passing game anyway. It can be three yards and a cloud of flakes.

That had nothing to do with weather but more about having divisional match-ups late in the season to prevent re-matches in the championship game.

With the championship gone I expect teams from texas/oklahoma to be making November trips to "north" teams.

Exactly! We have not really experienced this weather either unless they are pumping freezer air into the Bergstrom.

    Re: Saturday's Weather

We are really grasping at straws here. I wouldn't give us the edge in this game if it was 10 below and snowing. Our only chance is that the offense finally starts to click, not that the wind chill starts to get down there.

While I would love this, I seem to remember someone saying that they were going to try to keep the division games towards the end of the season after the divisions are gone because they are typically more "rivalry" type games. Whats a more appealing last game to cyclone fans? ISU v Missouri in November or ISU v TT in December. (and you can't say TT just because it will be cold and they never play in the cold)

Weather doesnt matter. I'm sure TT could run on us more then pass if they wanted to.

That was always the convenient excuse. Now we'll see.
