    Poll on Cyclones.com

Q: What do you think the most important play was in Iowa State's 27-0 win over Northern Iowa Saturday?

I think blocking the field goal attempt on their first drive was pivotal. Walking away from that drive with nothing had to be demoralizing for them.

I agree.... the blocked FG was huge. When was the last time we blocked a FG?

edit: and how many blocked FGs has UNI given up in the last 5 years ... Right now I can think of 3 easily.

I think Reeves' Pick 6 was huge to start the second half. UNI was driving down to score right after halftime, and if they would have scored it would have been 13-7, rather than 20-0.

I have to agree with you, c-dave. I was sitting near the UNI fans and it was like the air was sucked out of them when Reeves made that return. I realize fans ain't players, but...

Also a close second would be the successful fake field goal for the first down.

Fake FG...w/o it, we have another fg and not an offensive TD

Awesome call, but not play of the game. I wonder why you think it is though?

Give me Knott's INT. It didn't go for a score but it was a great play and catch that stopped what looked like was going to be a scoring drive for UNI

Because it was an awesome play! How much grumbling would there be on here if there was only defensive and special teams scoring Saturday? That is why I think it was the play of the game. The offense NEEDED to score. That play allowed them to do so.
