    Cotton to Louisville

I know it's not entirely ISU football news. However, his going to Louisville over Iowa means that we'll probably never have to play this kid when he's got an ax to grind with ISU.

Did they give his dad a job? Is that in the works?

Tony Alford is the running backs coach at Louisville, and if I remember right Barney and Tony were really close.

For a second I thought you were talking about Barney.

Same here. The first thing that went through my head was "Well, so much for Brohm's senior year..."

Barney? Not unless a Louisville Middle School is in need of a 7th grade coach.

Cripes, I was hoping it was Barney. Think he will attend the (M)ebraska-Iowa State game?

    Re: Cotton to Louisville

I too thought for a split second this was about Barney but quickly regained my sanity.

The Louisville Head Coach, Steve Kragthorpe, is an outstanding coach and a great guy. He was a great interview and was active in the community when he was at the Univ. of Tulsa. I am really happy Tony Alford ended up there. I'm even happier Ben Cotton is going there and not to a team on our schedule.

    Re: Cotton to Louisville

ya me to, thing is if you look at the other top tight ends in the country they're all at least 230 and cotton at 210 seems to be an anomoly maybe he'll move to WR or be a hybrid if he dosn't add a lot of bulk

"Day after day, situation after situation you do things the right way. If you do things the right way, in life, you are going to be successful. I'm not just your football coach; I'm not just here to win games. I could not be prouder of who we are and who we are becoming, together. You do things right in the classroom, off and on the field; that's whats's makes us Cyclones and that's what our culture's all about."

    Re: Cotton to Louisville

I'm surprised, I didn't think he was good enough to get noticed by a DI school outside of the Midwest. And to a quickly rising program at that.
