Impressed with the DLine and Maggitt

After watching the replay of the game, I was super impressed with the DLine pass rush penetration and more specifically Roosevelt Maggitt, that guy really finally showed his speed off the end. Rump and McD also has some great pressure.

Where did you see the replay? Or was it one you DVR'd?

IMO, Maggitt has been playing better than Parker this year.

It was UNI, and pretty sure they had made changes to there starters on the o-line.

Re: Impressed with the DLine and Maggitt

UNI's Oline is probably the weakest we will see all year, but it was encouraging to see the D Line create some pressure that resulted in some errors by their QB. Conversely, was depressing to see us get sacked 4 times. No disrespect to UNI, but I was hoping the OLine would have taken the opportunity to dominate the line of scrimmage in both the run and pass. That just didn't happen from what I observed

Wow, be more of a pessimist, imo, every passing down, the Dline was in the back field, better penetration then I have seen all year and possibly a step forward, it may have been UNI, but with the youth across our Defense any additional game under their belt will help.....

Or is it realizing that it was UNI, and they had a completely new starting lineup on O-line. Sure it was great to see some pressure, but the reality is, our defensive line is our sore thumb on defense and will be weak against the rest of our opponents this year.

I don't completely disagree with you statement that they are the weakest portion of the defense, but I think with the way they are rotating bodies in, it will benefit us a lot against team like Tech and Utah. I personally think that Lattimer and Maggitt seem to get more pressure in the backfield than Neal and Parker and I wish they would see more consistent time......

I think that Maggitt looked good out there. He made some nice plays. And Lattimer was all hustle as usual. Those two are pushing our starters for sure, which is a good thing. With Nelson redshirting, our DEs might not be all that bad next year...if Neal and Maggitt can each put on 10 lbs.

Yes Let us all praise Maggitt so that he will find it in his heart to bring his all star younger brother here.
