ISU's offense is now ranked 106th out of 120.

    Enough said.

Explain how you go into your yearly review with your boss and explain those results when it is your job to move the football and score points?

You said "Enough said," but then you said more. I'm confused.

On the flip side, the defense is tied at 33 with 3 other teams for points allowed per a game.

Good thing a football team has defense and special teams also.

Remember, Minnesota is ranked 43rd. Which TEAM is better? We have one common opponent.

Well you have to remember, the offense did nothing in the second half of the game yesterday. Because the defense scored 2 td's and UNI had the ball the entire second half.

Our offense is dismal at best. We do need the deep ball both thrown and also caught. We have the receivers, but somehow they need to jump out of their pants to even have a shot at catching the ball. We run very few over the middle pass plays to Franklin and the wide set on offense has taken any possiblity of running some reverses that both Danielson and others use to do to perfection. Herman at present is suspect at being an effective offensive coordinator.

We had more offensive production with Walden and Criner than we've had the last 5yrs here.

    Defense overachieves, offense underachieves.

In September 1864, two months before the national election, Lincoln was so certain he would lose to McClellan, whom Lincoln believed would sue for peace, that he prepared a plan for a transition to a McClellan presidency.

Sometimes the right leader is in place but circumstances obscure understanding. Often, behind-the-scenes activity that will soon change perceptions is more important than a logical analysis of the situation at a given moment in time.

Just one CPR and staff recruit (OT Burris) is starting on the ISU offensive unit today. I'm one fan who isn't going to bury this staff when it hasn't yet had a chance to field the players it recruits.

Many here want the coaches to build for the future, others here want the coaches to play for today and adapt style to fit the roster. Seems to me the coaches are building for the future by installing their system and will plug the players into it as soon as they rise to the top of the depth chart.

For me, that's good enough. For others, it isn't good enough.

For Lincoln, Billy Sherman was the game-changer. I'll bet ISU's game changers are on the way.

We've played some pretty good defenses through our first 4 games...

Northern Illinois -giving up 23.8 points/game (we scored 27)
    Iowa - giving up 12.0 points/game
    KSU - giving up 19.8 points/game
    UNI - giving up 19.3 points/game
