    The Event

Anyone watching tonight? I'll DVR it and hopefully get to it tonight but from everything I've read this show should be pretty epic.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

    Re: The Event

Have it set on the DVR. No idea what to expect. Its the first season so it should be pretty good. NBC has a thing about having shows that are done very well the first season and then fall apart.

It's set on the DVR. As much as they've been pushing it, it had better not suck.

The event is gonna be something like Senate Redistricting, or new water utility service billing.

Something tells me this show will blow, and blow hard. Hope I'm wrong, but I trust my gut.

I hate serious tv shows. They're too short to get in to and commercial breaks are anti-climatic. Just keep it light. Give me the office and seinfeld.

I tend to agree but there's a SCI-FI blog I read that was raving about the season premiere.

    Re: The Event

From what I'd heard on the news this morning, they already have the first two seasons scripted out, so there's a clear direction to the show (unlike Heroes, where there was never a clear direction and changed courses so often you couldn't keep track of it).

I'll probably give it a chance, but it had better captivate me quickly.

    Re: The Event

I also hate T.V. shows that if you miss an episode you are totally lost on what is going on. Unless its Dexter. I like one hour shows that wrap it up at the end. Like CSI.

    Re: The Event

I'll watch as I need a non reality show in my lineup. Tony Todd(Candyman, my favorite movie) is in at least the first episode so I will definitely watch. I'm hoping for complicated but not ridiculously complicated like "Lost".

Mrs. Velo is already TiVoing it. I will watch it with her but as others on here have suggested I'm concerned that it will turn into another Heroes or Lost mind game that clearly has no direction. I'm not sure I really want to waste the time on something like that.

I just don't think I can put in the time on a show like this now. I have too many shows now as is.

Agreed. It's not that I hate the actual show, but it's not worth scheduling my life around and I don't have DVR. It's why I stopped following 24.

Too many shows on tonight to watch them all! Normal CBS monday shows, the event, castle, top gear....
