    John Walters

John is knowledgeable and pretty good for the most part, but can someone please tell him that 20 is pronounced "twenty", not "chwenty"!

Sometimes he kinda whistles when he says his S's. Still love listening to him though.

    Re: John Walters

I could only listen in spurts and I have to complain that they don't say the score enough. I was in and out of a volleyball tournament and had no idea who was winning even when I would listen for up to ten minutes.

    Re: John Walters

OK, I'll tell him. But you have to stop saying fusstrated instead of frustrated.

I'm tired of him saying things like "Cyclones are 1st and chwenty after the holding call" or "Nice tackle by number chwenty-three Leonard Johnson!" Who talks like that? Sometimes I can't even tell you what's going on in the game because it is sooooo distracting!
I confess that I haven't noticed this. However, it could be a mic use issue. If someone is "eating the mic" - that is have it too close directly in front of the mouth - with an inadequate wind screen the air movement generated when speaking can cause distortion similar to this. Do you notice distortion on "s" or "p" when he is talking?

    Re: John Walters

To be honest I've never noticed that. I think John does a great job and he had some pretty big shoes to fill.

Go to the game and you won't have to listen to it on the radio. Problem solved.

    Re: John Walters

He is certainly not Pete Taylor, nor will anybody be, but John does a nice job in my opinion. Much better than that dork who does the Iowa broadcasts.

I go to all the home games. Couldn't make Kansas City due to family committments. I was listening to him while at my son's soccer game.
