Pollard on the Jon Miller Show - Thursday @ 3:05pm

On thursday I believe. And I think they said he will be on for an entire hour. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

That's enough time to cover a lot of stuff. I'm sure Jon has been preparing a lot of material for thursday, but I bet he wouldn't mind taking a few emails on things we would like to hear from Jamie. Not saying he is going to use them.

What would you guys like to hear them discuss?

Agreed. I'm glad things have been pretty much worked through, and I'd expect to hear about it for a few minutes, but when you have Jamie Pollard on your show for 60 minutes, I want to hear about sports, sports, sports. Ask him the obvious big stuff about football, MBB, wrestling, facilities, ticket prices. But also ask about some "smaller" things too, like the non-revenue sports. I'd love to hear what he has to say about some of those teams. In recent years, our women's sports teams have been the best in the program; gymnastics won the Big 12 last year and made a good run at a national title, and had another good season this year; volleyball did well in conference and went to the second round of the tournament, as did WBB. I want to hear something other than frothing "OMG ur fotball teem sux! y r tikits so xpensiv?!u r krazy! lolololololol" and so on. I don't think Miller's terribly prone to that sort of thing (I rarely listen), but being in an interview with Pollard seems to turn people into crazies more often than not.

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

Re: Pollard on the Jon Miller Show

Yes, please don't make this an hour long chaplain discussion. Jon, I know you read this board. If you bring this up, get a comment from Pollard and move on. EVERYONE is tired of this story. It has been mind numbing. I no longer even have an opinion about it. Fans want to talk about sports. There is a lot of excitement about the football team, basketball team, womens bball team, wrestling, stadium expansion, etc.

I would like to hear more on the issues in the Big 12 such as revenue sharing, tv contracts, scheduling, etc. If he is on for an hour there will be plenty of time to get to these big issues.

Re: Pollard on the Jon Miller Show

What do you wanna bet that Jon brings up the season ticket issue, and whether or not JTS will be a sellout??

He'll probably add in a question or two on the current revenue sharing contract between the two schools for the game and when a new one will be signed.

The chaplain thing will come up, but its not going to dominate the show. It will go as far as Jamie wants to take it.

I certainly would read any suggestions that you guys have

Kind of a tangent, but is the football team still running out of the inflatable helmet?

Or even worse, to that horrible music. We need something new, let the team pick it out, or make that a senior thing.

I dont think I am going to ask Jamie about the inflatables or music...There are meatier questions to ask, and perhaps Jamie will cover these things in those categories.

Re: Pollard on the Jon Miller Show

Even though I'll be at work, at can't listen to the show, I'd like to know if Pollard expects to be able to open up all of Hilton for wrestling matches this winter, or if we'll still have half of it closed off because of few attendees.
