Re: Can't believe Fizer didn't make this bust list

Fizer wasn't hyped to be a future star like most of those guys were and he has decent NBA career averages of 9.6ppg and 4.6 rpg in about 21 minutes a game. Before the knee injury he had seasons of 12.3 and 11.7 ppg.

Where is Harold Miner on that list? Remember "baby Jordan?"

It was pretty bad, take a look:

    FIRST-ROUND SELECTIONS

    1. New Jersey Nets
PF Kenyon Martin, Cincinnati (injury-riddled lately)
    2. Vancouver Grizzlies
PF Stromile Swift, LSU (nothing more than a decent backup)
    3. L.A. Clippers
SF Darius Miles, East St. Louis, Ill. (2nd coming of T-Mac? whatever!)
    4. Chicago Bulls
PF Marcus Fizer, Iowa State (out of NBA)
    5. Orlando Magic
SF Mike Miller, Florida (decent starter/6th man. has injury issues too)
    6. Atlanta Hawks
SG DerMarr Johnson, Cincinnati (decent bench player, was out of league for awhile)
    7. Chicago Bulls (never became much, injuries)
    C Chris Mihm, Texas
    Traded to Cleveland
    8. Cleveland Cavaliers
PG Jamal Crawford, Michigan (streak shooter, never fulfilled the hype, pretty much John Starks with the Knicks now.)
    Traded to Chicago
    9. Houston Rockets
C Joel Pryzbilla, Minnesota (decent big guy)
    Traded to Milwaukee
    10. Orlando Magic
PG Keyon Dooling, Missouri (nothing special, backup)
    Traded to Los Angeles Clippers

C Jason Collier, Georgia Tech (died in 2005)
    Traded to Houston
    16. Sacramento Kings (decent starter for Magic)
    SF Hidayet Turkoglu, Turkey
    17. Seattle SuperSonics
SF Desmond Mason, Okla. State (decent role player)
    18. L.A. Clippers
SG Quentin Richardson, DePaul (injuries lately but has had some good years)
    19. Charlotte Hornets
PF Jamaal Magloire, Kentucky (servicable big man)
    20. Philadelphia 76ers
    PG Speedy Claxton, Hofstra (journeyman)
    21. Toronto Raptors
SF Morris Peterson, Michigan State (been a decent player but inconsistent)
    22. New York Knicks (out of league)
    SF Donnell Harvey, Florida
    Traded to Dallas
    23. Utah Jazz
SG DeShawn Stevenson, Wash. Union (Calif.) HS (never lived up to potential, still in league I think)
    24. Chicago Bulls
C Dalibor Bagaric, Croatia (complete bust, what a wasted pick)
    25. Phoenix Suns

C Mamadou N'Diaye, Auburn (bust, out of league)
    27. Indiana Pacers
C Primoz Brezec, Slovenia (decent starter for Bobcats now)

Re: Can't believe Fizer didn't make this bust list

There some good role players late in that draft with D Mason, Claxton, Q Rich, and Mo Pete. That was a bad year to have a lottery pick. Pretty sad when Mike Miller and Jamal Crawford are the cream of the crop in the lottery.
