    Offense Scores 13 pts????

Going into the season I had high expectations for this offense! I thought it would be realistic for us to score over 30 in every game (except vs. Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas, and Nebraska). I was very optimistic about the offense and was really looking foward to this "high powered offense" that we were supposed to have. CPR came out and said that AA was the most improved player on this team and so far it has been the exact opposite. For fans and Chris Williams to say that AA is fine and all the blame always goes on the QB is ridiculous (sorry Chris but AA has been terrible)!! I know AA didnt throw any interceptions today but how many balls thrown did you seen that should have been sure picks. I counted 5 and 2 of them were easy pick-sixes! I'm sorry if I seem so negative but watching AA try to thread the needle and think with his arm and not with his brain is very dis-heartening! Especially when he missed the pass to ARob that looked like a "pitch and catch throw"!! I know there is still a lot of football to be played but I just feel like I was punched in the gut today! The blowout loss to Iowa and now this!?!? I just really had high hopes for this offense and so far the defense has been more impressive than our offense. Thoughts?

Maybe we can beat Missouri with this offense. They are losing tonight 23-20 to San Diego State.

There seems to be two sides of this.
    1. People who want to crucify Arnaud.
    2. People who make all sorts of excuses for Arnaud and say you're a bad fan if you don't support him.

I'm in the middle. I definitely think Tiller should be given a look at. I'm not so sure about his accuracy, but he can really carry out the zone read well. He faked me out multiple times during the game. (unlike Arnaud) Maybe Tiller should be brought in for a "wildcat" formation when Arnaud is playing poorly.

Also it seemed like our playcalling was narrowed down to three plays.
    1. Zone Read
    2. Option
    3. Short pass (usually incomplete because thrown at the ground)

Not saying Arnaud could hit them anyway, but where are these recievers I heard about all off season? I though this was gonna be one of better groups we've had in a while.

I don't want to crucify AA. He has done so much for this community! He's a good kid but being a nice guy just doesn't cut it out on the field. I don't think Tiller is ready but I want to see him get some experience especially if he is going to be our starter for the next two years. I just keep running that missed passed towards the end of the game over and over in my head! That was the easiest throw that he could have made in his whole career! That play HAS to be made! It doesn't get much worse than that! I would also like to see more of Jeff Woody! He reminded me exactly of Daniel Thomas running the ball (except he's a little bit shorter)!! I'm just really hurting right now and the other clone fans have to be too.

AA has been quite the dichotomy this season. A great rusher with guts and uses his legs to make plays that look incredible. On the other hand, he isn't moving in the pocket, staring down his receivers and making terrible throws.

Our offense wasn't very good last year. So the fact that we had everyone coming back (except our best lineman) didn't make me very optimistic.

I like Arnaud, but I think Tiller should play. Austen has a big heart and plays with passtion that few of the guys on the team play with. You can tell he really wants to win and the players on the team respect him.

The moral of the story I am disappointed with the offense for various reasons, play calling and execution seem to be the main factors.

I suspect Tiller will get a shot if we continue to struggle offensively.

Its basically barney cotton ball all over again.

Cant wait for the 3rd and long draw plays to start.

Amen! It's very boring watching this team play! They have the most predictable offense. We take no shots downfield (doesnt help that we have no QB) and we get in third in long situations we try to pick it up with screens and short passes. I miss the days of Bret Meyer connecting to Todd Blythe. Bret Blum wrote a very good article before this game about the lack of explosive plays! If it is taking you 10-15 plays every drive to score a TD or kick a field goal you are putting a higher risk to the chance of a TO or the drive stalling in the opponents territory.
