Their RB is a man...I would trade him for Arob in a heartbeat...

I don't mean that as a slight to Arob at all. That guy has "it". Speed, power, elusiveness.

I used to think that Arob was the best in the Big 12.

Now, I'm not sure if he's been the best back on the field out of any of our first 3 games.

Only so much he can do if the rest of the offense isn't in-sync.

Arob does not have a line to run behind. If he did he would be right up there with the best in the Big 12.

I'd take our guys in a heartbeat. Sounds like Thomas isn't the best student. Arob is a great kid who happens to also be a great back.

Why learn when you can play football and make more than people with doctorates?

Re: Their RB is a man...I would trade him for Arob in a heartbeat...

The one thing I will say watching today's game is that it seemed like Thomas hit holes harder (insert that's what she said joke). There were several times where it looked like Arob was going to get through the hole to break off a big run and he seemd to go down easy. I'm sure Thomas had bigger hole to run through, but to me it looked like he exploded through looking to get more yardage, wereas ARob was willing to just fall forward and take his 5 yards.

Thomas is good. Real good. There's no doubt in that. He is their offense. If they didn't have him, it's quite likely that they would have only scored 10 on us today. He can break big runs, and doesn't go down easily. It's hard to think that he's not one of the best backs in the nation, if not the best. That being said, I still like A-Rob. He's solid, and works well in our scheme. I can't say I'd trade him for anybody, but it's for he's not as talented as some others.

Re: Their RB is a man...I would trade him for Arob in a heartbeat...

Our LBs and DE spent all day getting caught up in the wash. We couldn't seem to get free of blockers. Thomas benefitted greatly from this.Daniel Thomas is the best back we have seen so far. He is big, runs with power, and is very agile(great jump cut) for his size. He doesn't have great breakaway speed but has the rest of the tools. I think he will be a second round pick, primarilly because he looks like a guy who will have to run well to come it at 4.6 in the 40. That will raise some flags right there.

This, + our Dline is woefully undersized making Thomas look even better than he is.

I'd like to see what A-Rob could do in a different offense

He is a very good back. It helps to that that line blocks very well and Synder understands how to play call a game.

I like the title of this thread, yes the runningback is a man, but so is A-Rob.
