    Arnauds got to go

I have watched James Capello play in the lancaster/lebanon league in central pa. and he was the most accurate passer i have ever seen. No i am not his parent, just a supporter. I will guarntee you he would have hit that wide open receiver with one minute left. I must admit i don't know much about Tiller, but i just never saw Capello rattled even if he was about to get hit. Don't tell me anything about size in this offense it is not that important. Yes i understand AA is a nice guy, but are we talking about winning or keeping a senior happy. You true fans will se what i'm talking about if Capello gets a chance, before he returns closer to home which was rumor i heard. Why not be close to home if your going to stand on the sideline and see a guy play with lesser ability. Just my two cents, what do the true cyclone fans think. And no this is not james writing if you notice the time he is probably on the bus returning home to Ames. Good luck cyclones

    HAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!

So we are already skipping the crucifying of Tiller when he starts and going right to calling for Capello?

And yeah, tearing up the Lebanon League in PA is similar to playing a B12 team in Arrowhead.

    Re: Arnauds got to go

AA turned several bad situations into first downs today. I don't know what the problem is but AA just can't pass the ball this season. When he does he seems to throw the ball so that the receiver doesn't have a chance for yards after spectacular grab!

    Re: Arnauds got to go

Congratulations on the most original thread of the day!

A lot of this offense is built on the QB being able to run the ball, and I haven't heard much about Capello as a runner. Also how well does he know the offense? Is a third string QB really the answer to our problems? I can't imagine a guy buried that far down the depth chart could really do much better than AA.

This offense has too many problems to be solved by a quick QB substitution. In a nutshell, we are running the football equivalent of Greg McDermott's offense: too complicated with the wrong personal.

AA is not a good QB, but he is only one of many problems this offense has. Our major issue is a lack of rhythm. The spread is about consistency and turning small passes into big plays. With the except of A-rob, Money and SJ we don't have anyone who can turn a two yard pass into a 10 yard gain. Our receivers cannot do what the coaches want.

Our O-line is also having problems, especially pass blocking. Adding up a poor QB and inconsistent OL and un-athletic WR and you have an offense than cannot execute well enough to challenge a defense.

I'm interested to see some of the young guys play, JT, Jarvis West, Albert Gary...etc. Not because I think they will do better but because it will be better entertainment. It's always fun to catch a glimpse of the future.

    Re: Arnauds got to go

Tiller needs to PLAY! We have nothing else to lose and from what he showed he could do today coming in cold off the bench just proves my point more.
Arnaud is a good leader but we won't win more than two more games this year if he stays at QB.

No but i know he can hit a wide open receiver over the middlle, that i promise you, if not he should not be playing in the big 12. Whats your excuse for AA not making the pass week after week??

    Re: Arnauds got to go

arnaud sucks. i would rather see bueker in than arnaud. sick of seeing him miss open receivers when the game is on the line. he is a solid runner, but cant pass at all. although, i am happy to see him looking for franklin alot more this year

    Re: Arnauds got to go

Arnaud has shown me enough that he will never be an accurate passer who makes great reads. It's time to see more of Tiller or Capello. I'm not going to rip on Arnaud though because he is a great leader and man, but I agree with the op, it's about wins. If Arnaud can't get you them, try someone else.

The defense doesn't do him any favors either though. Not to mention the OL has digressed.
