    Nuclear Bomb Photos

This stuff is fascinating. It's so hard to imagine the destructive force, but these photos certainly help. Plus, it's eerie to imagine yourself as one of these photographers:

    Re: Nuclear Bomb Photos

I've seen some documentaries on the testing in the Bikini Islands, where they were testing the effects of a detonation on old WWII ships, and it was fascinating. I've always wondered how long they waited before boarding some of the ships that didn't sink. People were just walking around in regular clothes, which didn't look like a very good idea.

In a strange, ironic twist of fate, the 1st tests done on Bikini Atoll directly harmed a Japanese fishing vessel that didn't get the memo.

I was totally expecting to see pictures of Sarah Connor having her flesh stripped from her bones by a shockwave while clinging to a chain linked fence...
