Bob Sanders done for the year?

Bob Sanders out for season with biceps injury

At what point do the Colts cut ties with him? Depending on how long he's out, he will have missed more games than he's played during his career. Sure, he's a difference make when he's on the field, but when does that value become overshadowed by his health?

Re: Bob Sanders done for the year?

It would have to be pretty soon, because they would want to have his money available to attract a replacement.

Good player, but way too fragile.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

There's no reason to keep him around at this point.

Also, at this point why would he not consider retirement? If you cant step on a football field without suffering a serious injury maybe it is time to hang it up.

It's a shame that he has this injury bug hit him every year. He is a fun player to watch.

Hell of a player when he is healthy, but that hasnt been to much over his career.

Once you get an injury (and you're always getting a bit dinged up every day, when you play football), it's tough to recover. I don't think these guys ever fully heal between injuries, and it just gets worse over time.

that's true, but the Sanders situation is a little more than just getting "dinged up." His experience is not typical compared to most other players besides Mike Brown, maybe.
