There must of been a run on razor blades, ropes, and

pills yesterday. Is there anyone left on this site? Hysterics and end of the worldism aside, the game that really matters is Saturday in Kansas City. Beat K-state and a bowl is still a good possibility.

Agreed. I think KSU will tell us a lot more about this team. Wins vs vastly inferior opponents and losses vs vastly superior opponents tell you a lot less.

Then you disagree with Rhoads, who said last week that the Iowa game would say a lot about where this team is...

Yes, this is a must win situation. Yet, the comments are about lackadaisical performance and inability to show signs of a stronger team. Losing a linebacker reminds us that our depth is thin. Having UNI and Utah in the non conference bodes a challenge.

Basically, whether anyone wants to admit it or not, is a defining moment game. Lose and we will be in trouble. We need this game more this year than we did last year.

Our tackling ability will be held accountable with their big all american candidate running back.

We may have to play a different defense as he is a one man wrecking crew.

Re: There must of been a run on razor blades, ropes, and

I feel great about our coach and team. With the talent we have I think we're as good as we're supposed to be. This isn't the year to be world beaters, that comes later when CRP has his players in the system and the staff has a few years working on a consistent basis with each other and the players.

There isn't anyone suited better to lead the program than CPR. We will win some games, next week is a great opportunity for ISU to give the ISU fan base reason to shake its malaise.

Cope... I remember some posts of yours on the game thread. You were on suicide watch yesterday in my opinion. Nice to see you recovered in 1 day. The way you were going off I thought the season was over.

Re: There must of been a run on razor blades, ropes, and

I think people would accept 35 points by a undersized dline and newbie lbs. They did not exp[ect 15 play drives with no hawkeye mistakes.

I think people thought we would score 17-21 points as we are a new, improved offense. Yet is was eerily the same. We could not run and we could not shift to a passing offense. We could not throw deep again and we missed our receivers over the middle. Our best plays were at the last three minutes against the thirds string.

We played like we needed a different gameplan after two years.

Re: There must of been a run on razor blades, ropes, and

I was worried this would happen after last year. Without that win in Lincoln (which everyone would agree was at least "unconventional") we don't make a bowl game. We won a bowl game over a team that just lost to South Dakota. I think that some took last years success as a sign that the program had turned the corner. In reality, we are far from continued success. I just worry that pepole have placed way too high of expectations on this years team.

This. Saturday is a huge game...could be the difference between a 3-9/4-8 or a 6-6/7-5 season. We need to flush the Iowa disaster and try to get going forward again

I'd say it did say a lot. It says we aren't close to being a top ten team. My guess is the ISU vs Texas score will look pretty similar. We need to beat KSU, it is must win. We just in no way are looking at 10 wins this season so lets focus on getting 6. 6 wins with this team, with this schedule, and our resources/tradition will be well worth a major celebration. Leave the hawks to northwestern and forget about them. It clearly wasn't our year against them.

I just figured that if things are slow today, the people that are ******** about us playing Iowa every year are out working, earning money, so they can donate it to JP with the stipulation that it be used to buy us out of the rest of the 10-year contract.
