A-Rob v. That other Robinson kid

In my opinion, there is no comparison here still. Our A-Rob had a few less yards, yes, and one less TD. But he had 5 less carries and ran against a MUCH more formidable defense.

    Moot point.

    There is only one A-Rob.

I hear there is some other guy named Adam though. (Seriously Hawk fans, pick a different nickname.)

They don't have the collective brain power to come up with one. Keep in mind this is the same fanbase that thinks that kid named Stanzi has a shot at the Heisman Trophy. I am truly embarrassed for them.

I agree that Alexander is more skilled than Adam.

However, please don't use last games' stats because you take away that 63 yard run (which I understand is impossible), Alexander got 34 yards on 18 carries.

Yes yes, calling Alexander Robinson A-rob was super-original and unique in the first place.

I'd take the A-rob (Adam)/ Hampton combo any day of the week.

Yeah really. What a laugh that is. Even if we ignore the fact that "Farmageddon" is already in use for ISU-K State, Iowa has an Ag school and it sure as hell isn't located in Iowa City.

    Really?!?

As if the A-Rob, A-Ram, and A-Gon's of the world did not originate with ARod.

Come on isu fan, put a little thought into your Hawk bashing...we expect better of you.

I would agree with this, however that is what this offense is built to do. Lots of little things build up so you can break the big play.

It doesn't matter if it was original or not. It is a d-ck move to give Adam Robinson the same nickname as our star running back who was already well established.

Kind of like wearing Hawk gear to a non ISU/Iowa game at Jack Trice.

What's worse is that the tavern hawk fans that I work with, who barely know anything about football, think Adam is the original. They don't even know most of the starters names, but they latch onto that nickname because the media started using it. So annoying. I had to tell them last year who their starting running back was.

    Typical squawk talk.

"Please don't use last games stats because if Adam wasn't running against the Sisters of the Poor he would have had 24 carries for -15 yards and no td's."

So it's ok for you to be even more unoriginal because we were unoriginal first?

You are going to end up being one of my favorite Hawk fans LoewDog. I can tell already.

And like I stated in another post, take away one of his one-yard runs and keep the 63 yard run he gets 96 yards on 18 carries.

See how stupid a comment like, "take away the one run" is?

I'm not the one with un-originality issues stated by clone fans above.

I'm pretty society has dictated that any Robinson or Rodriguez kid is going to be a "First Letter of First Name" - Rob/Rod.

Just the way it is these days.
