Wow, I've only had three of those. I bet there are quite a few we don't even get here in the Midwest. I am now officially thirsty.

I agree about seeing beers that were new to me. Funny, I thought the same thing about being thirsty! I thought I was done for the weekend...now I am on my way to the fridge!

On a side note, have you ever toured the Summit Brewery? If so, is it worth the time?

Yeah, I have some "game beers" and some "good beers" like in the article. With the VT/BSU game coming up, now I'm not sure what to drink.

I haven't...I should do that sometime.

I have tasted Pyramid Audacious Apricot Ale and considered it to be one of the worst beers I've ever sampled.

Big Sky Moose Drool tastes like beer with a smoky taste.

I bet you had leinenkugels, Rogue, and Moose Drool.

Those are the only three I have had.

My favorite beer though is still Dinky Wheat from Olde Maine.

Close...I've had the Pyramid Apricot, but not that specific variety of Rogue.

Moose Drool is one of the worst beers I've had. The Californian hipsters must like the ironic Upper Midwest Chic.

Will have to do that next time I am in Minn. I love their Extra Pale Ale. It is one of my favorites.

Missoula, Montana is considered Upper Midwest Chic?

    Re: LA Times Favorite Beers

Moose Drool is pretty solid, but I like a different Missoula beer a little better--Cold Smoke.

Made by a different brewery in town, and a little different taste, but I think I've just OD'd on Moose Drool by now, after three summers out around the Missoula area.

You have to remember everything coming out of LA is crap. What a cess pool of humanity and wasted space. It's craptastic.

Moose Drool is decent, but my favorite from Big Sky Brewery is the Trout Slayer Ale.
