    MONDAY MAILBAG: A final question

Sorry I missed the open mailbag questions. You don't have to include this in your article, but I would like to know your response.

If the Vikings and Leslie Frazier say went .500 for a couple of years, but in year five ended up 1-6 through the first half of the season - would you as the GM, keep Frazier on as coach?

LFrazier who? He is a dead man walking. Three weeks, and we have seen three different bad qb performances. There is no light at the end of the tunnel with this group. Not sure who is the best of the three yet. They all look frazzled under duress.

CFH HMagic bball season next year.

Are you comparing a College Football Program to an NFL organization? Because If you are I don't think you know what you are talking about.

“They're very, very hard to guard,” Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey said. “They're really good. And with Niang in the middle kind of wheeling and all those guys spreading you out, they're kind of a nightmare matchup. And they're men. They're really men.”

Not even a comparable scenario, at all.

Comparing an NFL franchise to a college program? Good job!

Let's just end the process and name this thread the winner. It can't get any dumber, can it?

Normally I would say yes, but the last week has reset my opinion of how dumb threads can get.

Re: MONDAY MAILBAG: A final question

I see what he is trying to do: offer a somewhat analogous situation where CW can imagine himself as a "fan" rather than the manager of a dedicated team website with a more complicated relationship to the topic.

You must not stick around after the game to see those post game threads, do you?

Re: MONDAY MAILBAG: A final question

Let's put this another way: Coaching scenarios.

    Terry Allen
    1997-2001
    21-35 record
    .375 winning percentage
    Fired

    Ron Zook2005-2011
    34-51 record
    .400 winning percentage
    Fired

    CPR
    2009-2013
    25-33 record
    .431 winning percentage

    Ron Prince
    2006-2008
    17-20 record
    .459 winning percentage
    Fired

    Dave Wannstedt
    2005-2010
    42-31 record
    .575 winning percentage
    Fired

    Or in Iowa State perspective:

    Jim Criner
    17-25 record
    .405 winning percentage
    Fired

    Jim Waldens first 5 years
    21-32-2 record
    .382 winning percentage
    Fired

    Dan McCarneys last 5 years
    27-35
    .435 winning percentage
    Fired

So basically we fired DMac for having a better winning percentage than CPR

Re: MONDAY MAILBAG: A final question

Umm, Ron Prince was tanking the program Snyder built, and the Ancient One decided that he wanted to come back.
If we have someone like that lined up, sure, let's fire away.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

I think the Vikings have a decided recruiting advantage.
