If we had played a road game against Drake and lost by 2 points on a half court heave as time expired, the committee would have dropped us to the three line.
The problem isn’t Iowa State or its scheduling. It’s the committee.
The potential for Iowa State vs. Drake will get talked about all week, so it probably doesn’t happen. Let’s hope that’s because we don’t drop a 2 vs 15 game.
I feel like conference tournaments meaning nothing is just the committee being lazy. Tough to reassess teams gaining multiple Quad 1 wins hours before you have to release the bracket.
Their best possible path in B1G tourney is Ohio State (60 NET), Illinois (16 NET), Nebraska (40 NET), and Purdue (2 NET). If they got to championship and lost, it would be 2 Quad 1 wins. That might be enough.
Pretty simple. Who will be there? I am driving down Wednesday afternoon. Plan to crash Kellys after hotel check—in.
See you there.
Beat Texas or Tang. Horns down. Idiot down.
I don't feel great today. One decent offensive performance in Kansas City would likely have me completely forget the last 2-3 weeks. The whole tournament is a crap shoot. It’s the greatest and dumbest sporting event in the world.
