Re: Mic'd Up With Steve Prohm

The toughness drill reminds me of what LE's teams did. Would be great if this team becomes as tough as LE's teams were.

Re: RECRUITING: ISU offers JUCO PG Donovan Jackson

I was thinking the same thing. Or, perhaps if they just don't have a good feeling about him committing.
  3. Re: RECRUITING: Simeon Carter visited this weekend (immediately eligible)

Other than both the ocean and mountains being only 45 minutes away and MJ now being legal to smoke, I can't think of why someone would want to be in Iowa vs. Oregon.

    Re: wish bubu could play

What the H*** does him playing in the D league have to do with false evidence being manufactured?

And, "define win?" Perhaps you don't understand what "win his suit" means, so let me explain it...
  5. Re: Niang interview on CFH leaving, "you really couldn’t hold a grudge.”

Great read, thanks for sharing. Love the description about Pohm's Top-15 team: thriving on their ability to force turnovers AND DEFEND THE THREE. And, last year's team was high in offensive...

Re: La Tech Transfer Xavian Stapleton on Campus

I agree, it's not as if other ISU coaches haven't gotten their teams into four consecutive NCAA appearances.

Re: La Tech Transfer Xavian Stapleton on Campus

Sorry to sidetrack this thread but, back to Stapleton, he appears to have the athleticism/size to play in the Big XII. He would be in the same category as Burton/McKay from a purely athletic...

Re: The Greek "probably coming back to college"

If he gets in, our front line will still be "thin." ;)
  9. Re: Top 10 Dunks of the 2014-15 Iowa State Season

Because any time Niang dunks, it's noteworthy.

    Re: Recruit Lists v2.0

Not sure, but my recollection of Johnson was someone denser/compact, and not as long or athletic. I don't recall Johnson being able to jump or dunk as well.

    Re: Recruit Lists v2.0

I like that he is a quick leaper dunks anytime he's near the rim. Also, if he gets the ball down low after an offensive rebound, he keeps it above his head when putting it back. This is something...

Re: BREAKING: Prohm notches first commitment

Good find, he definitely looks athletic in the video with a large wingspan. Nice use of backboard on his low post moves, though I hope he learns how to shoot a hook shot from Georges.
  13. Re: CCL RECAP: Niang scores 58, Hallice Cooke quotes

A bit premature at this point, though in terms of strength at their positions, they are comparable. We'll know in a few months if everything translates to Big XII game situations.

    He, along with...

    Re: *** Monte Morris NBA Analysis/Assumptions ***

He's about the same size as Steve Nash was and I don't think Nash was any more athletic than Monte. Nash was successful because of his ability affect games through his ball handling and decision...

Re: Slides - First Season at Hilton Coliseum

Re: REPORT: Prohm tabs Small for his staff

Pretty much expected this hire. I wonder if he will be able to bring any good players with him?

Re: Prohm Makes Offers for '16

Looks explosive. His shot has a bit more arc than Clyburn's which I like. I do wonder if any of Prohm's Murray State assistants were already recruiting these three, or if Prohm found them and...

    Re: Geno Thorpe

Everything we know about Prohm's past and stated future strategy indicates transfer U is likely to continue. Perhaps you've heard Prohm say something opposite of what he has previously said?

    Re: Fred Recommended Prohm

No kidding. The reason I posted the article was that it indicated Fred thought enough of Prohm to recommend him to Pollard. Many people feel betrayed because Fred left (never mind that they knew...
