    Re: Cowherd leaving espn

Yeah. I like Cowherd more than I dislike him, but his obsession with his love of traditional favorites/hatred of underdogs got old pretty quickly, not to mention his bizarre need to run down John...

    Re: The ESPY's

Oh, I'll completely admit that I don't get over those kinds of losses easily or quickly. I could not watch basketball that day after we lost to UAB, and it turned out to be one of the best days of...

    Re: The ESPY's

Yeah, even if we had been one of the nominees I don't know that we would have "won" it.

Georgia State and Ron Hunter did have the signature moment of RJ hitting the game-winning shot from about...

    Re: The ESPY's

On a different tangent, I was very happy to see that the abomination against UAB was not one of the candidates for Upset of the Year. I've got to admit I was a bit worried about that.

    Re: wish bubu could play

No, you never did imply that he should have been the next LBJ, just as I never implied that he was without fault or gaps in his game on the court in my original defense of him.

    Re: Recruit Lists v2.0

Is he 5'2 with or without the hair?

Anyway, I have to think it's got to be pretty damn hard to get the ball away from him, being that low to the court.

    Re: wish bubu could play

Wait a minute...are you really telling me that a walk-on player had some faults in his game and wasn't the Second Coming of LeBron James? No way....

Every player, whether on scholarship or not, is...

    Re: wish bubu could play

On the court at least (and I do want to stress strictly on the court), I'll never understand the hate that a very vocal minority of Cyclone basketball fans had for Bubu. It's almost as if those fans...
  9. Good article from Hines on Prohm's background

I came across this article today online and thought it was worth sharing.

My apologies if it's already been linked.

Re: BREAKING: Prohm notches first commitment

FWIW in context to the argument, Fred did offer Jeremy Morgan a scholly back in 2013.

Re: BREAKING: Prohm notches first commitment

Or, he could fall in between the spectrum and be a guy who is a role/bench player for his whole career who averages 6 points and 4 rebounds per game. IMO every good program needs those kinds of guys...

    Re: 2015 NBA Draft Thread

Interesting to hear from Bilas that Cliff Alexander bad-mouthed Kansas on his way out. I wonder why. Anyway, good riddance to him if the reports are true.

Aaron White goes to the Wizards. Cue the Hok trolls to come over here to brag about having the better program.

Re: BREAKING: Prohm notches first commitment

Not to mention that it's June Freakin' 25th, for crying out loud.

I am of the opinion that a filled scholarship is always better than an unfilled scholarship, especially when said scholarship will...

    Re: Niang's Year of Vengeance

Twitter is stupid, and I hate it with a passion...

But the video was awesome and the best thing I've seen all week. Kudos and salutations to whoever put that together.

Re: Game of Thrones Season 5

Yeah. It feels like Dorne definitely got the short end of the stick when it comes to what storylines got the most attention and general TLC.

I really don't know why they got rid of Arianne's...

Re: Game of Thrones Season 5

    Wow...that was one season finale.

Didn't know how it was going to go with Stannis vs. the Boltons, but I can't say I'm unsatisfied with the result, as long as the Boltons eventually get theirs. I...

Re: Game of Thrones Season 5

Well, a couple of minor points on that...

    1) I still choose to believe that women and girls don't poop, even in fantasy TV series.

    2) I'm pretty sure she gave birth to the smoke demon...

Re: Game of Thrones Season 5

Fair question....I would put him in the same category as I would Melisandre, a true zealot who will do anything they can to further their religious ideology, the morality of their actions be damned....
