    Re: Cowherd leaving espn

Do you think Iowa State football is something people are going to talk about/want to see to any extent on a national stage?

ISU Basketball has gotten plenty of love, from ESPN, including Cowherd...

Re: Seneca Wallace just interviewed on WHO

Proof enough in that you can rush for 2,000 yards in consecutive seasons, and still not win the Heisman.

It's almost more sad that TD will more than likely be the only person to do that, with how...

Re: Friday 5: ISU 'non-nut kicks'

2002 Texas Tech football game. Featured 'The Run', a #11 ranking after a much-hyped win against NU, and against a decent Texas Tech team.

2001 basketball @ KU. Kantrail Horton still stands as a...

    Re: The Next Step

    I'll bite.

Lane Kiffin--I'm amazed that his name comes up ever in a fan base wanting someone for their head coach. In today's world of coaching, he's probably near the bottom for being...

    Re: Crayfish in my yard

That's interesting that they've traveled even that far from water...didn't know they'd do that.

Sounds like the means for the next Syfy original.
  6. Re: Dallas Morning News predicts it iis gonna be another bad game for us against Bayl

FIFY. There seems to be a feeling that ISU is 'oh so close' to begin successful, when the reality is very different than that.

I know that's pessimistic, but if people would realize that,...

This wins. There's a couple on there that have yet to play the same way twice.

Re: Friday OT #2 - Dead Musicians

I saw Love and Mercy and I seeing Brian Wilson put together the rhythm sections in studio would have been cool.

Re: Friday OT #2 - Dead Musicians

    Hendrix for sure.

Elvis and Buddy Holly would have been interesting.

    Warren Zevon.
  11. Re: Dallas Morning News predicts it iis gonna be another bad game for us against Bayl

I agree with this unless it's an historic stadium/program in a big game. Then it comes down to interesting fanbases/crowds/traditions along with seeing real good teams compete.

    TCU and Baylor...
  12. Re: Dallas Morning News predicts it iis gonna be another bad game for us against Bayl

Mine were additions to lock-down/athletic corners. Although it feels like when the high-speed offenses are bogged down, it's because of the d-line causing disruption (there's probably more going on...
  13. Re: Dallas Morning News predicts it iis gonna be another bad game for us against Bayl

And a decent D-line to disrupt their timing. And an offense that can move the ball in some sort of control.

And at least some players to match their athleticism.
  14. Re: Niang interview on CFH leaving, "you really couldn’t hold a grudge.”

Well put...and I see what you did there. I'm also not ******* in the Cheerios about Fred leaving...dude did what he wanted...I will however always feel like the timing was odd, but health, etc. may...
  15. Re: Niang interview on CFH leaving, "you really couldn’t hold a grudge.”

I wasn't aware that one Sweet 16 appearance and a few decent teams in 5 years made a basketball program a legit power.

I like what I've heard from Prohm so far...seems like a the transition at...

    Re: Most disappointing concerts attended!

I can agree to this...if you've listened to any Dylan albums from the past 10 years, his live show isn't all too bad since he sounds...like he sounds now. He's also not known for his live shows...

    Re: Most disappointing concerts attended!

Look up his performances from 2009-2011, and then now, and see which you like. He'll probably play some stuff solo, which is always good, but I thought a backing band with a drummer/lead guitar...

    Re: Most disappointing concerts attended!

You summed this up perfectly for me on Isbell. Used to see him in '07 just after leaving the Truckers and saw him a few times after. January of 2014 I think is when I saw him and he'd lost his...

    Re: Most disappointing concerts attended!

Everclear was one of my first shows...they were bad.

I'm not sure if it was disappointing, but I got a free ticket to one of those Top 40 Country acts...Little Big Country, I think, and even...

    Re: Darwin Award Winner!!!

I can't say it's funny, but if there's very easy ways around it, which there is, then the person doesn't die.

It's unfortunate that so many people using their phones while driving/biking are so...
